Habitat Status Assessments

In the spring of 2015, Nootka Sound Watershed Society hired a team of biologists fromĀ MC Wright and Associates to perform habitat status assessments on six watersheds in our area: Conuma River, Canton Creek, Tahsis River, Leiner River, Sucwoa River and Tsowwin River. These assessments provide us with a better understanding of the factors contributing to diminished salmon habitat, and offer us a starting point in our goal to protect and restore these watersheds to a more natural state.
